How It Works
Tournaments run entirely through the Five Iron app. You enter on your phone, then walk into any participating location, rent a bay as normal, and play your round on the Trackman simulator. No special tee time or advance reservation required.
- Download the Five Iron app (iOS or Android) and create an account.
- Navigate to the Play tab and select your location.
- Choose a tournament, select your buy-in level, and tap Join.
- Set up your in-app wallet to pay your buy-in and receive winnings.
- Head to any participating location, rent a bay, log into Trackman, and play your round.
- Check the live leaderboard in the app anytime.
Tournament Formats
- Stroke Play (Gross) — Full-round competition. Lowest score wins. Open to all participants 18+.
- Net Play — Uses your 5i Handicap to level the field across skill levels. Earned after completing 3 official Five Iron Tournament rounds.
- Closest to the Pin — Quick-fire contest. Whoever hits closest to the pin wins.
- Hole-in-One Jackpot — Free entry. Every shot played adds $1 to the jackpot pot. Hit a hole-in-one and win it all. Re-buys available; pot resets after a hole-in-one.
Buy-In Levels
Tournaments range from free entry up to $100+ paid buy-ins. As you build your tournament history, higher buy-in tiers unlock. Buy-in levels available vary by location.
$10 First Tournament Bonus
New to tournaments? After you complete your first tournament, $10 is automatically credited to your Five Iron app account — no deposit or credit card required to claim it.
Payouts
Winnings are sent directly to your in-app wallet, typically within 24 hours of the tournament closing. You can transfer your balance instantly through the app.
