Ready to compete? Getting into your first Five Iron Tournament takes about ten minutes. Here's every step, from downloading the app to collecting your winnings.
Step 1: Download the app and create your account
- Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) and search "Five Iron Golf."
- If you've booked at Five Iron before, sign up with the same email you used to book — this keeps your history and rewards connected.
- Signing in with Apple? Choose "Share My Email" when prompted. If you hide your email, Apple creates a masked address that can cause problems with kiosk login and rewards later.
- Returning users can sign in with email (you'll get a verification link) or continue with Google or Apple.
Step 2: Join a tournament
- In the app, go to the Play tab and select your location.
- Browse live and upcoming tournaments, pick your format and buy-in, and tap Join. Entries range from free up to higher-stakes paid buy-ins — and some free tournaments still pay real cash prizes.
- Log into or create a Trackman account when prompted.
- Set up your in-app wallet to pay your buy-in and receive winnings.
Note: playing more tournament rounds unlocks higher buy-in tournaments (for example $5, $10, $20). After three official tournament rounds you'll also earn a 5i Handicap, which lets you enter Net tournaments where the field is leveled across skill levels.
Step 3: Play your round
- Head to any participating Five Iron location — no tee time required. Rent a bay as you normally would.
- Log into Trackman on the simulator PC with the same credentials you linked in the app.
- Your tournament will appear in the Joined section of Trackman Tournaments. (Tip: join in the app before signing into the bay PC.)
Step 4: Track your standing and get paid
- Check the live leaderboard anytime: in the app, open your tournament and tap Leaderboard. Standings update in real time across all locations.
- Winnings usually land in your 5i wallet within 24 hours, and you can transfer them out instantly via the app.

Tournaments are open to players 18 and up. Paid-entry tournaments are available at most locations; some markets are free-entry only — the app shows exactly what's available at your location.
